Dr. Tewary is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatrics at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), as well as the Administrative Director of a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant.  This Age Friendly Health Systems VR case is part of an initiative by South Florida Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP).

This immersive virtual simulation is self-guided, and takes place at various stages along the healthcare journey of an 87 year old patient named Millie.  Each stage contains 3D recordings for participants to watch at their own pace, along with an activity to complete, and a question to answer.  The goal is to teach providers how to address the patient’s active problems, as well as the important elements critical to older adults described by the 4M’s framework.  What matters Most, Mobility, Mentation, and Medication Management.  To learn more about how you can use this Simulation, contact Dr. Sweta Tewary at sfgwep@gmail.com.
