Call for Patient Actors
Help us bring patients and family members to life during live simulations by becoming their voice and manipulating their animations. Participant actors are given training, script guidance and rehearsal opportunities, and can join simulations from any location with a compatible windows PC in Non-VR mode (no special VR hardware is required). Prior experience playing a standardized patient is helpful, but not required.
Become a Patient Actor
Acadicus seeks multiple patient and participant actors to assume the role of a patient, family member or other participant via an avatar.
Actors will be provided with talking points, scene overviews, direction, and rehearsal opportunities, and can work from any location. To qualify, candidates must:
- own a compatible windows PC with headphones with a mic (info)
- be able to operate as an independent contractor in the U.S. or Canada
- identify patient or participant types they are comfortable playing
- provide any additional qualifications, such as experience playing a standardized patient, or studies in medical related fields, possession of VR hardware (not required), experience with virtual simulation, etc.
