Your Virtual Sim Lab Has Been Updated

Acadicus Version 0.82.0

Content

  • We’ve added tons of new content this quarter, and are adding more dynamically on a regular basis.

New

  • NEW: [Edit Mode] Editor toggle that locks the selected object asset’s transform. Once locked the transform gizmo will not appear and the selected object asset cannot be grabbed. The editor lock is serializable in scenes.

Updates

  • UPDATE: [Sim Manager] Objects selected in the sim manager will now only highlight for 1 second instead of indefinitely.  Additionally the selected sim manager object will not be relayed to the selector system.
  • UPDATE: [Non-VR] Mouse clicks were able to click through the main menu panels and were unable to click through the menu toggle’s expander panel at the bottom.

Fixes

  • FIX: [Environment] In the case where an environment has been set and the starting position has been created and then a different environment is set, the starting position will now be destroyed to prevent the user from being placed into empty space potentially.
  • FIX: [Grabbable] Surface alignment was attempting to  align with socketed node assets.
  • FIX: [Simulations] When loading several scenes the autoload flag wouldn’t correctly update in the save UI.
  • FIX: [VR Menu] Reset wouldn’t reset the selected object panel.
  • FIX: [VR Menu] Grabbed tool panels wouldn’t activate the menu tool socket when they should have.
  • FIX: [VR Teleport] The target cursor would appear erroneously in the case where the joystick is held within a specific range while the teleport laser would transition from a valid target to an invalid target.

Optimized

  • OPTIMIZED: [Video Player] The video player render texture properties have been optimized to reduce overhead while entering and exiting the camera’s frustum.
