VR Mode Hardware

Acadicus uses the power of a Windows 10/11 PC processor and graphics card to provide the highest fidelity in 3d graphics and to support advanced capabilities.

The PC you choose must be compatible with your chosen VR headset (see list below).

Please note that often vendors will provide minimum specifications. Typically, the more recent the processor and graphics card, the better the experience and performance.

PC VR Headset Vendors:
Recommended: Meta Quest headsets (Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro)
HTC Vive headsets (Pro2, Elite XR, Focus 3)

Non-VR Mode

Like any other Windows application, Acadicus can be used on your desktop or laptop computer, without a VR headset. Running Acadicus in Non-VR mode can be done on most Windows systems.

Minimum configuration:
CPU 2~ Ghz (2 cores+), 4 GB RAM, 2 GB video card, 250 MB hard drive, DirectX 11, x64 Windows 10, 17 inch monitor

Recommended Configuration:
CPU 2.5 Ghz (4 cores or greater), 8 GB RAM, 4 GB video card, 1 GB hard drive, DirectX 12, x64 Windows 11, 21 inch or larger monitor, external keyboard and mouse for laptops

Hardware Requirements for VR and Non-VR modes for Acadicus are very different. Any VR-Mode ready computer will run Acadicus in Non-VR mode. However, a computer meeting only the Non-VR mode requirements WILL NOT run Acadicus in VR mode unless it also meets VR mode requirements listed separately.
