Create and run simulations aligned with Next Generation NCLEX®️ (NGN) that prepare students for real world practice.
Provide clinical experiences that substantially increase knowledge retention. Save money vs. high fidelity manikins. Save faculty time by working with prebuilt scenario templates. Save sim lab space by augmenting it with virtual capabilities.
Simulated Clinicals that Empower Students
Provide hands-on simulations built on existing standards of best practices in simulation that enable students to interact with patients and clinicians in realistic real-world settings.
Decades of research and a strong community of instructors and technicians have led to a deep understanding of the benefits and best practices of simulation. In creating Acadicus, our goal was not just to develop a pre-programmed app, but to create a platform that supports this community and builds upon established best practices in simulation.
Open Source Nursing Scenarios
Acadicus provides a comprehensive collection of pre-built scenarios, patients, environments and equipment to support free OER nursing scenarios, developed with the expertise of leading nursing schools, instructors and simulation specialists through the Open RN project. These scenarios are licensed under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license, and are openly available for faculty to use, adapt or modify at no cost.
Browse the Open RN Scenarios or contact us to request a pdf.
Community of Practice
Connect with other simulation leaders in our community on Discord, and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in virtual simulation through our Acadicus Simulation Pulse, which features educator interviews, curated content, and best practices.
VR and Non-VR Screen-Based
There will always be a subset of learners and faculty who aren’t comfortable wearing a headset, and we believe it is vitally important to ensure they are still included in your virtual simulations. Acadicus provides lots of ways to access simulations.
Unlock the full potential of virtual simulation with a private Lab in Acadicus. Priced at $10,000 per year, it supports live simulations with up to 5 participants (or more, depending on the simulation), and offers unlimited access and no restriction on the number of students or instructors.
Instructors and facilitators have access to the entire Shared Content Library, and can edit scenes, create 3D recordings and host multi-user simulations.
