Simulate clinical experiences that engage communication skills and critical thinking with Acadicus. Access to an expansive library of realistic clinical settings, patients, equipment and scenarios to provide students with powerful learning experiences based on existing best practices in simulation.
Library of Scenarios, Patients, and Environments
Developed with guidance from expert instructors and simulationists, Acadicus comes with an expansive library of simulation content, including free OER nursing scenarios, medical environments, equipment, and virtual patients. Here are some examples:
Empower Students with Hands-On Clinical Experiences
High fidelity virtual simulation brings patients to life with live actors to create highly engaging learning experiences in a safe environment.
Standards of Best Practice in Simulation
The benefits and best practices of Simulation are well understood, thanks to decades of research and a close-knit community of instructors and technicians in sim labs around the world.
So when we set out to create Acadicus, we didn’t want to just build a pre-programmed app. We wanted to create a place capable of supporting this community, and building on established best practices of simulation.

Simulation Anytime, Anywhere
Access Acadicus in VR Mode with Oculus Quest (with link cable to PC), Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, HP Reverb G2, and Valve Index. It can also be used in Non-VR mode on windows PC Non-VR mode, with the option to share via Zoom or any other video conferencing platforms. Learn more about Acadicus’ hardware requirements.
Community of Practice
Join our community of simulation innovators on Discord and check out our Acadicus Simulation Pulse to stay informed on the state of virtual simulation through educator interviews, featured content, and best practices.
A private room in Acadicus is $10,000 per year, which can support a live Simulation with up to 5 participants (or more, depending on the Simulation). There are no limits to how much time you can use it, and no limits to the number of students or instructors.
Instructors and facilitators gain access to the entire Shared Content Library, as well as the ability to edit scenes, create 3D recordings, and host multi-user simulations.
